The judicial stamp is the amount that shall be paid by all the natural and legal persons for the services provided by the courts of law. Access to justice is free, yet not always free of charges.
The judicial stamp shall be paid in cash, by bank transfer or online, to a distinct income account of the local budget entitled Judicial stamps and other stamp fees, at the administrative-territorial unit where the person is domiciled or has residence or, according to the case, where the legal person has the registered office.
If the person who owes the payment of the judicial stamp is neither domiciled, nor has residence or the registered office in Romania, the judicial stamp shall be paid to the account of the local budget of the local administrative-territorial unit that corresponds to the law court where you filed your action or request.
The proof of payment of the judicial stamp fee must be submitted with the case file in original. If you fail to pay the judicial stamp fee, your request, as this was filed in court, will be annulled and dismissed as not stamped, and therefore will not be judged.
The stamp fees are set in a differentiated way, according to the nature of the case.
